SOLI INV-I-CTO COMITI / R P Sol, wearing long robe and chlamys, standing front, head to left, raising his right hand in salute and holding globe in his left. RIC -. Extremely rare. Struck from slightly worn dies on a somewhat irregular flan, otherwise, good very fine.

This exceedingly rare piece features a fully clothed Sol with a chlamys. While similar depictions appear on earlier coins, such as RIC 73 (Nicomedia) from 311, this is the only known instance from the post-313 reform coinage.
